OUR FAVORITE DOG PARKS IN PITTSBURGH

  • Upper Frick Park 

    Squirrel Hill 1981 Beechwood Blvd

    Easiest access is from the Beechwood Blvd. Entrance near blue slide park. Walk the paved trail back to the fenced in area. Be sure to grab water on the way at the fountain. There are two large fenced in areas. Grass & dirt ground Benches for people to sit and lots of space for dogs to play.

  • Lower Frick Park

  (Referred to as Hot Dog Dam)

Has a fenced in stream where dogs can run through the water and play.     

  • Allegheny Commons Park 

    (West Commons) Central Northside

  • Highland Park Dog Park 

    Across the street from the Swimming Pool

    Two fenced areas one for large, one for small dogs. There is a human and pet water fountain. Lots of space for dogs to run.

  •   Riverview Park

    Perry North

  • Bernard Dog Run

    Central Lawrenceville 

    The park is under the 40th street bridge in between the river and the railroad tracks. Separate sections for small large dogs. Seating for humans bowls for water, wood chip/mulch surface. A good place to go if you don’t want to deal with mud!

  • South Side Riverfront Park 

    Referred to as South Side Dog Park

    Walk down a trail to get to this spot.

  •  Olympia Park

    Mt. Washington (Part of Emerald View Park)
